“Exploitation” is a multidisciplinary performance piece incorporating a script, actors, dancers, kinetic sculptures and electroacoustic composition. The work will highlight the psycho-social and financial degradation of workers by contrasting capitalism with socialist theology.  Exploitation includes 4 actors, 3 dancers, and an industrial factory installation enhanced with electroacoustic composition. Three kinetic sculptures incorporated in an industrial factory are derived from antiquated machines. Each machine is operated by a worker (dancer) whose actions are controlled by a capitalist. The capitalists (bosses) are positioned on a platform located above their respective workers. Each worker is linked to their capitalist through the use of wrist restraints. The restraints are attached to ropes and controlled by the bosses in a marionette style .The bosses occasionally yank and jerk the ropes  to claim their worker's attention. Throughout the performance the dancers use their bodies and faces to express the types of unique humiliations inflicted by their boss counterpart. An innocent childlike girl located on far stage right reacts to the torments with periodic Gregorian song chant narrations of Biblical excerpts representing socialist theology.
